For many years the Pro Evolution Soccer series of football games has been a major part of my life. Ever since I saved up over 4 weeks wages to purchase ISS Deluxe for the SNES. For me it’s the only football game I’d ever want to play, the FIFA series may look good, but barring FIFA International Soccer (again on the SNES), it plays poorly when compared to PES.
Inter-brother competition has been fierce since the early days. In terms of multi-player enjoyment only Goldeneye has come close to offering what PES has. Since November 2007 I have been recording all results between myself and my two younger brothers, to give us a good indication of who is the best player.
Back in 2007 I wrote a website which enabled results to be easily entered into a database. The website automatically calculates rankings based on the ELO system. It also provides a huge amount of statistical analysis.
You can visit the site and check up on our latest results. As you can see over the 3 years I have been the weakest player, however in 2010 my results have improved to the point where I am clearly the undisputed king!
